It was all a bit of a whirlwind...
Claire pretty much started falling for Dan from the moment she saw him...

They had their 1st attempt at a first date but Claire ended up in hospital.
Dan says that was a weak excuse.

Round 2. Dan arrived, clutching peonies...

A great sign of things to come.
Needless to say, the date was a success and they sped on together from there.
Summertime brought ‘Meet the parents’ and a magical stay in Paris...
...where Dan got swept up in the romance and asked Claire to move in with him.
24 hours and a brief ‘is-this-too-fast-no-it’s-not-woopee’ panic later, she agreed.
Claire moved in with just a few belongings in tow...

Whilst visiting London, Dan lost his head again, and despite hating dogs, agreed to welcome another member of the family.
Holidays are dangerous...
4 weeks later, Etta arrived!
Their home now overly full of animals, and the two of them utterly convinced of the other, Dan decided 6 months was plenty.
So on Christmas morning, surrounded by her family, he asked Claire a very big question.
